The dream and goal of Gentle Springs of Hope is to build Christian, nutrition- oriented, assisted
living facilities/ranches.   Our program will be intergenerational, encompassing both youth and
partially disabled adults who need assistance in their daily living, residing at the ranches. In
addition, animals living on facility grounds will play a significant role in ranch activity programs.

Gentle Springs of Hope Christian Living will have Isaiah 61: 1- 3 as its foundational principle:

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath
sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are
bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn, to
appoint unto them that mourn in Zion to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise
for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be
glorified."

The second foundational principal upon which GSoHCL will be built is II Corinthians 1: 3:

"Blessed be God even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort."

Through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the power of His Holy Spirit, we want to bring
good news to those who are afflicted.  We want to bind up their broken hearts and proclaim liberty
to their afflicted bodies and minds.  Ones who are broken in heart or spirit due to physical and/or
mental incapacities, should find their home at GSoHCL to be a place of comfort and peace, hope
and healing.  Our goal is to provide a place where the residents can join together in finding
healing for their minds and bodies, and wholeness for their souls and spirits.  The disabilities and
afflictions that have held them "captive" for so long, will be dealt with on a physical, emotional,
mental and spiritual level, through the many programs that will be available to the residents of the
facility.

And through it all, the Lord God and His Son, Jesus Christ, will be glorified as He provides comfort
for His children.
Our Staff
Christian living and the nutritional aspect of the programs at GSoHCL cover both body and spirit.
Both will be addressed throughout every facet of our programs.

At GSoHCL, we believe that through the proper use of nutrition, many of the afflictions which have
kept our minds and bodies in bondage, can be relieved ... and some can even be reversed.  God
created our bodies to be self-healing, and He gave us an immune system, among other things, to
help combat disease and keep us healthy.  Many health problems can be improved greatly by the
simple building up of our immune systems.  Healthy meals will be developed and served at
GSoHCL.  Much of it will be grown on our own facility grounds.  Our Food Services staff, working in
conjunction with our Medical staff (who will be in close association with the resident's physician),
will design and create a healthy diet for our residents, based on their past medical history.

The healing potential of our relationships with animals, particularly pets, goes without measure.
Our ranches will house not only adults and youth, but will be the home of animals as well.  Our
program will include learning proper care of, as well as enjoyment of, animals such as horses,
dogs, cats, chickens, and many others.  The Ranch Wrangler will develop, organize, implement and
help supervise programs of work and enjoyment with these animals for the youth and adults alike.

The structured activity programs at Gentle Springs of Hope Christian Living will be four-
faceted in nature.  We will touch on all aspects for both adults and youth.  The four basic
foundational aspects of our program will include Spirituality, Education, Work Programs and
Intergenerational Activities.

Spiritual guidance will be available for both adults and youth through Bible study and prayer, both
individually and in peer group settings.  Counseling will be available in many areas, including (but
not limited to) anger resolution, chemical abuse & dependency, unplanned pregnancies, suicidal
tendencies, eating disorders, fear & anxiety, depression and abuse.

Our youth will be working on the completion of their educational goals, by studying for their GED
or high school diploma.  Other educational programs will include music, working with the animals
and life skills such as goal planning & job seeking skills, independent life skills, various trades,
submission as well as leadership skills and budgeting.

Work programs will enhance life at GSoHCL.  Adults will be invited and encouraged to help out on
the ranch in any area they desire and have the physical & mental capacity for.  Youth will all work
on the ranch in many of the areas as well.  Residents will be encouraged to share their skills and
talents in the kitchen, the maintenance & grounds keeping departments, at the barn, in the
gardens ... or for special programs and seminars.  We believe that there is "purpose" for each
resident's life at GSoHCL.

Intergenerational activities will be a major part of the programs at GSoHCL.  Adults will all have a
youth to mentor, and the youth will assist staff in the care of his or her mentor.  Adults and youth
will be involved together in spiritual programs and work programs, as well as activities of
enjoyment.

In addition to the structured activities listed above, outdoor activities on the ranch will include
horseback riding, hiking, fishing, swimming, gardening, camp fires and mission trips.  Indoor
activities will include a pool table, swimming pool, TV, games, exercise equipment and movie
nights.
Our Vision & Goals
Our Programs

are faithful in their relationship with the Lord.  Our staff will be well-trained, professional people.
All requests for employment will be thoroughly and prayerfully considered, following an application
and screening process.  Salaries will be commensurate with education and experience.
