Questions For Contemplation:

It is suggested that you take some time with these questions.  Find a time
and place of quiet, uninterrupted space, so that you may concentrate on
your answers.  Remember to bring pencil and paper with you, and write
down your answers.  Be as honest and as complete as you can.
HOPE:

1. Describe how you feel about the statement, "We need hope as much as
we need air to breathe."

2. What can a grieving person learn from Psalm 22?  Psalm 102?  Other
Psalms?

3.  Why is it important to acknowledge and allow grief, but not to "indulge"
in it?

The Power Of Choice:

1.  How have your choices affected the direction that your life has headed
in?  (List positive and negative ways, and be specific.)

2.  What does God's "grace" mean to you?  Have you made His grace
personal in your own life?  How?

"Truth" vs. "Reality":

1. In I Thessalonians 4: 13, the Bible tells us, "But I would not have you to
be ignorant, bretheren, about those who are asleep, that you may not
grieve as do the rest who have no hope."  What does it mean to grieve not,
as others who have no hope?  How can this be applied in your own life ...
whether it be grief over the death of a loved one, or grief for a different
reason?

2.  In what ways can you change your thought patterns to enable you to
grasp onto hope and healing?
